UAM, through a strong commitment to social responsibility, promotes various actions in teaching, research, and cultural dissemination that have a significant impact on society.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations are are university commitments under the axis and vision of compliance to end poverty, protect the planet, minimize the impacts of climate change, promote a culture of peace and well-being.

The UN approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which consists of 17 goals to improve the lives of all and leave no one behind. It includes the elimination of poverty, combating climate change, education, gender equality, environmental protection and the design of our cities.

UAM is currently participating in three rankings related to the Sustainable Development Goals. These rankings provide visibility, prestige, and international projection.
